Little FAT Me

I work full time and I barely have time to breathe. In 2005 hurricane Katrina rearranged my life, since then I have gained roughly 80-90 pounds. I believe that it started in depression and became an addiction. I have started and failed many diets and then decided that MAYBE if I combine diet and exercise with blogging and shopping I might be able to find success. This is the story of 2010 and my struggle to rise above addiction, pain, depression and fat.

Today's Gourmet

I started my day today with the Oatmeal to Go, Brown Sugar Cinnamon breakfast. Let me say that I have done this two mornings in a row and both day have been better days. I try to eat slow and enjoy each bite. They taste great and are very filling. 4 points and then I have a half a cup skim milk at work for the 5th point! It's been better the pass few days. (Ugh, look at my nails! You will notice in the next picture that I painted them at break!)
Clementines are actually getting their own post next week, they are awesome and LOW points!
Here is the big bang of the day - diner. I shook and baked tilapia and it was awesome! Like fried fish, but in the strangest way - better. You guys know by now that mushrooms are my go to 0 point veg and that I love to cook onions! The avocado was a splurge, high in fat. It's the good kind of fat. A half of a medium is 4 points! I think I might have over shot the points on the fish, I counted the two bits as 6 points and added a point per for the Shake N' Bake, so the complete meal was 12 points. That's a tad higher than I normally aim for, oh well!
